Caroline, Skipper of "Four Seasons"

Caroline has been Sailing since the age of 7 and has been a Professional Yachtswoman for the past 20 years. She started her professional career as a Sailing Instructor for The Fairbridge Drake Society, taking young unemployed youngsters from inner city areas on 5 day courses on 19 foot Cornish Shrimpers. She then progressed to being mate on the Societys’ 92 foot Gaff Schooner ‘Spirit of Merseyside’ upon which she sailed the whole coast of Great Britain and took part in the 1989 Tall Ships race from London to Hamburg.

From 1990 to 1994 she was a full-time Instructor for various Sailing Schools based in Devon & The Solent. In 1994, with Chris Jackman, she helped run various large private and charter sailing yachts in The Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas. From 2002 onwards she has been based back in England, working for sailing schools, delivering yachts and setting up and skippering ‘Four Seasons’ in the charter business.

She has logged over 100,000 miles, done 4 transatlantics and numerous other ocean passages from which she has gained vast experience which she will be only too happy to pass on. Whilst running the charter yachts she was responsible for all the menus and catering so be assured you will be well fed! ( See samples of dinner menus ).
