Booking
Bookings may be done by phone, e-mail or by posting the booking form to us. Bookings are not confirmed until we have received a 25% deposit. The balance of the fee to be paid within 28 days of the start of the cruise. ( Unless it is a last minute booking when this time period will be reduced ).
Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you have to cancel your booking, then provided it is done , in writing , 28 days or more before the start of the event, a full refund of any fees paid will be made. If a cancellation is made within this 28 days then we reserve the right to keep the deposit unless the spaces are subsequently filled.
If, due to unforeseen circumstances , we have to cancel a cruise, then unless an alternative date can be agreed, 100% of all fees will be refunded. We will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred. Should a cruise be shortened due to a breakdown or damage to the boat then we will pay the costs of returning you to the home port of departure but will not be liable for any consequential expenses. The cost of the cruise will be refunded in direct proportion to the amount of time lost.
Food & Accomodation
We provide all meals taken on board, non alcoholic drinks, a bottle of wine with the evening meal and assorted snacks throughout the day. Due to the different arrival times of clients on the first night this nights evening meal is not included. There is strictly no smoking below decks and clients are asked, if they do smoke, to do so downwind of others ! Alcoholic drinks provided by clients may be consumed in moderation whilst cruising. The skipper reserves the right to stop this privilege should circumstances dictate.
Couples will always have their own en-suite cabin. Single people may be asked to share a cabin with someone of the same sex.
Weather
We will endeavour to complete any planned cruises but sometimes bad weather may dictate that certain destinations are not accessible. In these cases a suitable alternative cruise may have to be sailed.
Insurance
The yacht is insured against accidents and third party liabilities. We will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to clients personal property. Clients are strongly advised to ensure that they have adequate insurance to cover personal injury and their own property.
Complaints procedure
In the unlikely event of you having a complaint about any aspect of the course please speak to your Instructor in the first instance. He/she will endeavour to rectify any problems you may be having. If the problem is not resolved then please speak to the Principal of the School. As a last resort, if you still feel your complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily please contact the R.Y.A.
